American Insurance Association (AIA) Partners With Learn.net For Insurance Industry Learning Management

Atlanta, GA September 17, 2004 -- The American Insurance Association (AIA), representing over 450 U.S. Insurance carriers, has contracted with Learn.net, Inc. to be AIA’s strategic partner for providing improved knowledge and learning management capabilities to the U.S. insurance industry, starting immediately.

“Learn.net and the AIA share the view that the insurance industry is a human-capital intensive business that must look for multiple ways to improve results and performance,” said Larry Duckworth, President of Learn.net. "We are pleased that AIA has chosen to work with us as the sole learning management provider to take a powerful, high ROI ‘Train Smarter…Not Harder’ message and solution to the insurance industry.”

“We believe insurance companies and agents will benefit from our combined 100 years of insurance education expertise and solutions,” continued Duckworth. “Learn.net provides educational solutions to numerous carriers and other insurance entities.”

The AIA appointment follows the selection of Learn.net as the Virtual Education Center Solution for the Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) Association. Through this solution, Learn.net will provide integrated online Continuing Education (CE) and skills classes to PIA.

“The Learn.net Strategic Partner relationship is a natural and exciting one for AIA,” according to Katrina Harrison, Vice President of Membership & Business Development at AIA. “We feel that improving the performance of insurers’ key asset -- their people -- is a top priority in the industry.”

“Improving premiums results, better managing compliance requirements, reducing E&O exposure and improving profit margins through improved employee productivity are four critical improvement opportunities for our members,” continued Harrison. “One carrier with a custom solution from Learn.net is listed in the ‘Training 100’ listing of the American Society of Training and Development. We are excited to be a strategic partner of Learn.net.”

“Our success has been based on being ‘Best-in-Class’ for Insurance companies as a specific expertise and results-providing focus,” explained Duckworth. “Our ‘KX5 Solutions Family’ includes industry specific expertise, many integrated CE and Skills classes, a commitment to helping improve insurance business processes, the ‘MAPLE’ learning life cycle system, and many support services including content development and video-streaming solutions. We are highly different from other solutions in ten important ways. The AIA strategic partnership will allow more carriers to be able to improve their top and bottom line results.”
